(Fisher Price)Police in Arkansas have arrested a woman on DWI charges after she allegedly tried to flee the scene of a car accident in a battery-powered children?s toy truck.
Initially, 29-year-old Jamie Jeanette Craft crashed into a mobile home in her 2001 Pontiac Grand Am. But local affiliate KAIT8 reports that Craft then attempted to drive away from the scene in a very different vehicle: a Power Wheels children?s truck.
The Fisher-Price Power Wheels vehicles are made to resemble real-life, adult vehicles, including a Ford Mustang and a Jeep Wrangler. But some models are purely imaginative, including one model that is built to resemble the ?Lightning McQueen? character from the Pixar movie ?Cars.?
When the owner of the mobile home went back outside after checking on his grandchildren, he said Craft was still sitting in the toy truck, ?trying to drive it.?
Some Power Wheels models, like the Ford F150 truck, can achieve speeds of up to 5 mph. Fast enough to keep most young kids entertained but a little slow for an effective high-speed getaway.
Police described Craft as being ?irate and very intoxicated? when they arrived at the scene, according to a report filed by Officer Scott Byrd.
Craft faces several charges, including public intoxication and disorderly conduct.
